Dunford Tapped For Another Term As Joint Chiefs Chairman

| AP Photo Dunford tapped for another term as Joint Chiefs chairmanMarine Gen. Joe Dunford will be nominated for a second term as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Pentagon announced today.
Prior to becoming Joint Chiefs chairman, Dunford served as Marine Corps commandant, the service’s top officer.
Marine Gen. Joe Dunford has served as Joint Chiefs chairman since September 2015.
Selva, who has served as Joint Chiefs vice chairman since July 2015, was previously the commander of the U.S. Transportation Command.
The Joint Chiefs chairman serves a two-year term, which may be renewed.
