Ftc Plans To Mission Draftkings Fanduel Merger

The Federal Trade Commission has a message for DraftKings and FanDuel before they merge: Not so fast.
That’s because FanDuel and DraftKings are the largest sites of their kind in the U.S.
“This merger would deprive customers of the substantial benefits of direct competition between DraftKings and FanDuel,” said Tad Lipsky, acting director of the FTC’s Bureau of Competition.
The FTC and the attorneys general of California and the District of Columbia say they plan to file together in federal court to block the merger.
