Here’s How Many Times Enthusiasts Streamed Kanye’s ‘Hey Mama’

Taylor Swift’s brand new studio album Reputation officially dropped on Nov. 10. And to show just how much the hip-hop network doesn’t care about the pop star or her music, supporters introduced “Hey Mama Moment” to carefully turn the focus on the anniversary of the death of Kanye West’s mother. In celebration of Donda West, who passed away unexpectedly in 2007, supporters streamed Kanye’s track “Hey Mama” on do it again for the entire time. They played the solo so much, it reportedly racked up more than 700,000 streams.

“Hey Mama Moment” was formerly launched in an attempt to sabotage Swift’s first-day revenue. The singer’s group said her album’s launching was not linked to West’s death, but it looks like supporters weren’t buying it. Regarding to a written report from The Ringer, Yeezy supporters bumped the song’s total streaming takes on on Spotify from 23.6 million to 24.3 million within a 24-hour period. The track reportedly peaked fan interest on Genius aswell, with typically 150-200 daily pageviews during the past week, the start-up enterprise reports.
