“I had among the best times of my entire life with him on our 1984 European tour,” the guitarist Eddie Van Halen wrote on Twitter.
Ben Jolliffe of the English rock-band Little Guns, wrote: “Absolutely broken to listen to of Malcolm Young passing. Grew up with the family group and he was like a second father to me.”
The band spoke with THE BRAND NEW York Times in 2008, on the cusp of the release of “Dark Ice,” which would eventually receive a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.
“People state it’s juvenile music, but pardon me – I idea rock ’n’ roll was said to be juvenile,” Angus Young said. “You sing everything you find out. What am I going to write about – Rembrandt?”
The band won its first Grammy in 2010 2010, when it won for best hard rock performance for the song “War Equipment.” Its influential album “Back In Black” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame found in 2013.

“As a guitarist, songwriter and visionary he was a perfectionist and a distinctive man,” the declaration said. “He always stuck to his guns and does and said precisely what he wanted.”
