Nebraska vs. Penn Express news:
The Cornhuskers have won the last four games against the Nittany Lions – leading the overall series 9-7.
Saquon Barkley only had 35 rushing and 20 acquiring yards last weekend, but he was even so impressive with two ratings on the day.
Saquon did get back on track for a set of rushing touchdowns and added another highlight-reel minute when he took the lateral end of a Boise State-style hook-and-lateral from DaeSean Hamilton and leaped over a Rutgers defender want JORDAN, coming up simply a backyard shy of the end zone (Penn Express would punch the ball found in shortly thereafter).
Has got Nebraska packed it set for the period? It type of seems that way.
On defense, they look like they don’t trust what they are being coached to accomplish or trust that they’ll be in the right spot to make the take up. On offense, the lack of development and injuries on the offensive line + so many interceptions possess derailed a promising unit.
So, what are these two teams even now fighting for?
Well, simply put, Nebraska’s head coach Mike Riley is normally fighting for his task – or in least fighting for an opportunity to get another task after Nebraska “parts methods” with him by the end of the season. There’s already different head coach positions opening up (cough, Florida, cough) and Riley will have to receive his hat in the race as the university tries to scoop up a new talented head coach before various other program does.
Just weeks hence the national landscape had paved a way for Penn Express to finally enter their first College Football Playoff following being omitted last season despite winning the Big Ten title. Oh, the way the mighty possess fallen. All those early on conversations were for nought though, with the Nittany Lions taking a close reduction to Ohio State, and then abide by it up with a head-scratching defeat to Michigan Express.
Nowadays claiming two losses, not simply on the season (essentially removing them from the CFP debate), but against divisional opponents, the race for the very best of the Big Ten East, looks like a battle between the Buckeyes and Spartans — with Ohio State claiming the upper side thanks to their demolishing of Mark Dantonio’s squad the other day in Columbus.
While Penn State even now gets the record and talent to make it to a New Years Six bowl video game, the Cornhuskers will be hoping for any bowl at all.
Nebraska vs. Penn Express prediction:
The Nittany Lions remain on their redemption tour, and winning big against Rutgers the other day isn’t likely to do it. They have to finish out the season strong and with momentum to business lead them into 2018. Nebraska is simply a team getting in their way. Penn Express wins by at least two ratings.
