Beyoncé and Jay-Z posed within an elevator at the Angelika Film Centre in Soho Monday night while celebrating the rapper’s 48th birthday. Sans Solange Knowles, the few looked happy to be attending a private screening of Woody Allen’s “Wonder Wheel.”
Bey were living her sleeve’s concept, which was “unity.”
This cheeky post comes three years after the now-infamous 2014 Met Gala brawl when Solange attacked Jay-Z in the elevator of the Standard Hotel at the after-party. Years afterwards, Jay-Z exposed about the security footage.
“We had one disagreement ever – before and after we’ve been amazing,” he stated. “She’s like my sister. I’ll secure her. That’s my sister, not really my sister-in-law. My sister. Period.”
Hov also admitted to the New York Times by the end of November that he cheated on his wife, which was rumored to be the cause of the elevator fight.
“You should survive. Thus you go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode, what goes on? You turn off all emotions. So even with women, you gonna turn off emotionally, which means you can’t connect,” he advised executive editor Dean Baquet. “In my own case, like it’s, it’s deep. And then everything happen from there: infidelity.”
