Theresa Might assassination plot suspect in court

(CNN) A guy who allegedly plotted to assassinate Uk Prime Minister Theresa Might appeared in court Wednesday charged with terrorism offenses.

London based Naa’imur Zakariyah Rahman, 20, who described himself in court as Pakistani Uk, was arrested last week and charged on Tuesday. A second person, Mohammed Aqib Imran, 21, from Birmingham, appeared in court at the same time, likewise charged with “the objective of committing functions of terrorism.” When asked about his nationality in court, Imran stated he was Bangladeshi British.

According to court documents, Rahman planned to detonate a great explosive device at the gates of Downing Road and seek to gain usage of No. 10 — May’s recognized residence — “in the ensuing chaos with a perspective to trying to kill the Prime Minister.”

“The secondary attack on Zero. 10 was to be completed with a suicide vest, pepper spray and a knife,” the file said. Rahman had completed a “hostile reconnaissance” of the region within his preparations and exposed his intend to “attack, kill and trigger explosions” in several recorded conversations, based on the allegations.

In a related allegation, Imran is accused of trying to secure a fake passport to be able to leave the UK and happen to be Libya.
