Time magazine’s Person of the Year 2017 is ‘The Silence Breakers’

Period magazine has named “The Silence Breakers,” representing persons who came forward to article sexual misconduct, as its Person of the entire year.

It’s a recognition of the cultural reckoning this year and the #MeToo activity, which represents the people, mostly women, who’ve fueled an internationally discussion about sexual harassment and assault.

President Trump was first the runner-up for Person of the entire year. Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in third.

Time’s editor-in-chief announced the pick and choose Wednesday morning hours on NBC’s “Today.”

Trump was once more a finalist this year. He tweeted last month that he was “probably” likely to be given the title, adding that he “took a pass” because he would have had to agree to an interview and a image shoot. Period called that account false.
