Gretchen Carlson declines to rule out Senate run

Story highlights Ex – Fox Information anchor says “who has learned” if she’ll go for Senate

Last summer, Carlson went public with sexual harassment allegations against Roger Ailes

Washington (CNN) Ex – Fox Information anchor Gretchen Carlson declined Thursday to rule out a go for the US Senate, informing CNN’s Poppy Harlow and John Berman that she’s been asked to run in her home talk about of Connecticut.

“My life spent some time working in mysterious techniques,” she said. “I started as a classical violinist and would be a lawyer and I ended up in TV rather than expected to become the face of sexual harassment, hence my answer to that concern is, who knows?”

Berman replied, “Were you sitting inside our chair, like you did for a long time, I think you’ll take that answer to be an announcement that you are running for something.”

“No, not yet,” she said.

Carlson added that it is not in her “timing at this time.”
